In the second outing, the New School team explore the fundamental questions for education: What is schooling for? What is its purpose? The film explores these questions across Australia and New Zealand in both Primary and Secondary Schools. It reveals the ongoing tensions between success in
well-being and academia. Rather than finding an either-or, the film reveals the need for a careful consideration of both elements. The film explores three schools that focus on the many dimensions of success and who are driven by clear visions of purpose.
Host: Dr Scott Alterator
With: Professor Pasi Sahlberg, Mary Featherstone, Dr Esme Capp.
