These breakthroughs took some serious detective work, after research teams were baffled by melanoma cases spontaneously disappearing.
But a “penicillin moment in cancer history” has seen drugs developed that cure what was thought to be incurable as recently as 10 years ago. And so far, we’ve seen it work in 50% of patients.
